Kasbah Africa is a cosy eco-friendly mountain retreat located in a secret corner of Toubkal National Park offering rustic charm and traditional Berber hospitality.
With sweeping views of the Azzaden Valley and a backdrop of High Atlas peaks, Kasbah Africa perfectly blends sub-Saharan African lodge style with Berber warmth and charm to create a luxurious Atlas riverside retreat - the perfect base for our Atlas Cooking school.
Facilities include a large swimming pool and lawn, Berber tent, extensive landscaped terraced gardens with abundant fruit and olive trees, a bar, lounge and restaurant with log fires, and of course panoramic river and mountain views.
The Kasbah also offers a wide range of local activities, day trips and tours including guided walks to nearby Berber villages, Atlas treks, Toubkal climbs, nature trails, mule treks and 4×4 trips to remote mountain villages and beyond. Day trips are available to Marrakech, Ourika Valley, Agafay Desert, Tin Mal Mosque and the Ouirgane Valley.

Kasbah Africa is available for exclusive private rental as well as by the room. It is an ideal venue for anniversaries, family reunions or groups of walkers and of course for our Atlas cooking school. Kasbah Africa runs very popular and informal cookery courses, working with locals to create a unique Berber culinary experience. Fresh local ingredients are always used to create delicious Moroccan breakfasts, mouth watering lunches and slow-cooked evening meals. The environs of Kasbah Africa are perfect for gentle strolls along the valley to work up an appetite. Enjoy glorious sunny days relaxing on the terrace or by the pool, or cosy winter nights by a log fire. For those who like to be adventurous outside of the kitchen too there are hiking, climbing, riding and adventure opportunities abound to suit all abilities.
Location
Atlas Cookery School is located at Kasbah Africa in the Atlas Mountains just 1 hour 20 minutes by road from Marrakech. This secret corner of Toubkal National Park is a quiet mountain retreat with Toubkal’s most stunning terrain right on your doorstep.

Accommodation
Offering a high degree of exclusivity Kasbah Africa has just eight stone-built suites, all with panoramic mountain and river views. Each suite has 40 square metres of living space and is furnished with hand-crafted walnut furniture with either two large singles or a super king-size bed, wood burner, Berber rugs, a sofa and lounge chairs and spacious bathroom.
